Birthday Celebration of Mr. Gerald Azonobo at the Orphanage

Every situation is affected by the law of gravity but for one, our age. Each year we all mark/celebrate our birthdays such that the older we get it never comes down. Most times, while marking or celebrating such special moments in our lives, oftentimes, we do not realize that there are those who ordinary but for their circumstances would not know when and where we celebrate. For such people, we just pass through life without affecting them in any way. The truth of the matter is that they are ever grateful and appreciative for every kind gesture extended to them.

It is in his usual spirit of giving and reaching out to the less privileged that the Founder/Principal Promoter of KUTH FOUNDATION, Mr. Gerald Azonobo, decided that for this year, he will celebrate his birthday with those who are in need.

Consequently, on Friday, May 25th, 2012 he gathered his family, friends and well-wisher to go with him on a journey of celebrating his birthday with the children in motherless babies and orphanage homes. As it turned out, three of such homes were identified, namely:

- Lagos State Motherless Babies Home, Lekki Phase 1

- Sri Sai Motherless Babies Home, Ajah

- Arrows of God Orphanage Home, Ajah

Surprisingly, a lot of his friends and well-wishers sacrificed everything they had pre-planned for that day being a working day to accompany him, his family and staff of KUTH Foundation to these homes. It was a carnival. Apart from the food items and other gift materials which he came with, some of his friends equally gave cash donations to the Managers of these homes, for the upkeep of the children. The visitation started at about 11.00 am ended at about 5.00pm despite the rains.

To crown it all, a special birthday party was held on the 26th of May 2012 at the premises of the Children with Down Syndrome, Surulere, it was a thing of joy to celebrate with these kids as they all danced and had fun. The party came to an end at about few minutes past 5.00pm with the cutting of the birthday cake.
